East Village Penthouse Apartment

This duplex penthouse had great bones: soaring industrial windows, concrete ceilings, an open layout. But it felt cold and too generic.

The redesign brought in warmth and personality through bold pattern and global texture: a dramatic jungle mural climbing the staircase, leopard-print wallpaper in the bar nook, and layered textiles in saturated reds and oranges throughout. Mid-century classics like Cherner chairs and a Swan chair ground the eclectic mix, while curated art and sculptural lighting keep it sophisticated.

The apartment now matches the energy of the neighborhood below it.
