Rockland Living Room

In this 1921 Mamaroneck home living room, we layered new furnishings with existing pieces the homeowner already loved.

This living room shows the power of mixing design styles to create a unique look (not matchy matchy). I used a dramatic non-traditional accent wall as a bold backdrop for artwork I sourced for the client, using layered patterns and textures to bring contrast and personality into the space.

Rather than starting from scratch, the design builds on the character of the home and the homeowner’s own style. It's a refresh of a historic living room that feels true to the person who lives there.
